Categories of data
When you use the contact forms, we may process your name, email address, phone number, location details, requested service, preferred appointment details and the content of your message. The phone number is voluntary unless you provide it yourself.

Privacy confirmation in forms
Before sending a form, you confirm that you have read the privacy policy and agree to the processing of your details for handling your enquiry.

Purposes and legal bases
Processing of enquiry data is carried out for pre-contractual measures and communication regarding your request pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, and, where necessary, on the basis of our legitimate interests in efficient communication and IT security pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Email transmission and internal message system
Form submissions are transmitted by email to our own mail system and are additionally stored in a protected internal ComputerHilfe.city message system so that enquiries, responsible recipients, assignment status and replies can be documented and processed. A central copy is sent to info@computerhilfe.city. Where a regional on-site team is configured for the selected location, the enquiry may also be sent to the responsible active regional employees or service partners so that the appointment can be coordinated and internally assigned. We do not use external form platforms for this website contact form.

Spam protection
To protect the contact forms from automated misuse, the website uses a simple arithmetic question, a hidden verification field, a signed time token and temporary server-side rate limiting. For rate limiting, a shortened technical identifier derived from IP address and browser information may be stored temporarily on the server.

Server log files
When you access the website, the hosting provider may temporarily process technical access data such as IP address, date and time, requested content, browser information and status codes to ensure secure and stable operation of the website.

Approximate location detection
To display telephone numbers in the appropriate national format and to support the city search, the website can use an approximate country and city. If the hosting or network infrastructure already provides this information, no additional GeoIP request is required. If no usable value is available, the browser may query one of the GeoIP services ipwho.is, GeoJS (get.geojs.io) or ipapi.co. These services technically receive the IP address required for the connection and return an approximate country/city. ComputerHilfe.city does not request an exact address or GPS position and does not create a permanent location profile. The result can be kept temporarily in the browser session and, if available, the approximate country/city may also be included in the first-party visitor statistics described below.

First-party visitor statistics
To understand which pages, services and regions are used most or least, ComputerHilfe.city records privacy-conscious first-party usage statistics on its own server. This may include requested page, date/time, website language, approximate country/region/city when technically available, referrer domain, UTM campaign parameters, browser, operating system, device category, screen/viewport size, browser timezone, session duration, scroll depth and interactions such as telephone, WhatsApp, email, download, form or assistant use. Form contents and complete IP addresses are not stored in the visitor statistics. The browser uses only a temporary random session identifier in sessionStorage; no permanent analytics cookie or cross-site profile is created. The statistics are used to improve the website, services, usability and regional availability on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Google Analytics 4
With your voluntary consent, this website uses Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to understand visits, traffic sources, device categories and selected interactions. The Google Analytics tag is not loaded before you choose “Allow analytics”. No form contents, message texts or passwords are sent to Google Analytics. You can change your analytics choice at any time via “Analytics settings” in the footer. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where applicable, the rules governing access to or storage of information on your device.

Cookies and similar technologies
The first-party visitor statistics described above work without a persistent analytics cookie and use only a temporary random session identifier in sessionStorage. Google Analytics 4 is activated only after consent and may then use analytics cookies or comparable identifiers. If you choose “Necessary only”, Google Analytics is not loaded. A technically necessary, temporary session cookie may also be used after a form error so that entered values and the error message can be restored securely.

Recipients
Personal data is processed by our hosting and email service providers only insofar as this is necessary for the technical provision of the website and communication. For regional on-site enquiries, the data may also be sent to the active employees or service partners responsible for that location solely to handle, coordinate and internally assign the requested appointment.

Storage period
We store enquiry and internal message data only for as long as necessary to process, document and follow up the request and to comply with legal retention obligations. Server log data is usually stored only temporarily for technical and security purposes. Temporary regional job-claim tokens used to coordinate which employee accepts a request are automatically removed after approximately 35 days; the related enquiry and communication history in the protected message system may be retained for longer where this is necessary for customer service, documentation or legal obligations. The first-party visitor statistics are automatically retained for up to approximately 400 days and then deleted.

Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability within the scope of the statutory requirements. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.

Data Protection Officer
A Data Protection Officer has not been appointed because there is currently no legal obligation to do so based on the present processing activities. If a statutory obligation arises in the future, this privacy notice will be updated accordingly.
